PRESS RELEASE:

Tweed-New Haven Airport 2010 Posts Record Enplanements
New Haven, Connecticut - February 14, 2011. Tweed-New Haven Regional Airport finished the year with the highest enplanements since 2007. Since July 2010 enplanements increased an average of 25.2% month to month compared to 2009. In fact, there were several months with the highest enplanements for that recorded month since before September 11, 2001. The key factors in the upswing are more competitive fares and the ease of using Tweed Airport. According to Mark Volchek, Chairman of the Board, TNHAA and Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Higher One, "Passengers in Southern Connecticut are looking to travel from an airport that is convenient, fast and easy to get to. The time saved by using Tweed New Haven Airport by the reduced commute and avoiding I-95 traffic to New York is a bonus". Tweed is less than ten minutes from downtown New Haven and fills a need the business community has expressed. The outlook for 2011 is just as promising, with January enplanements the highest for any January since 2005.
