Three major rental car companies have offices at Tweed New Haven Airport (Avis, Budget, and Hertz) for your convenience. Should you choose to use a different company contact them directly regarding their services.

G – EAST CHAPEL STREETWeekdays/Saturday/Sunday(REVISED SERVICE) All inbound service from Tweed New Haven Regional Airport to downtown New Haven will be revised. All daily trips currently scheduled to travel from Tweed New Haven will no longer do so. Service will now operate on a call-in request basis. Upon the flight’s arrival, a request for bus service can be made by calling the Customer Service Center, Monday through Saturdays, 6:30AM-6:30PM, and Sundays/Holidays, 7:00AM-6:00PM, at (203) 624-0151/TTY (203) 785-8930. The Customer Service Representative will inform the caller of the time when the next available bus can travel to the Airport. The bus stop is located directly outside the main building of the Airport. Bus service directly from Tweed will only be available between the abovementioned hours. Our best efforts will be made to provide this service, however, delays may occur subject to weather, traffic conditions, and the time of your call.On Monday through Saturday, if no call-in requests are made or trips are scheduled during the hours the Customer Service Center is closed, all G trips will continue to stop at the intersection of Burr and Concord Streets before traveling to downtown New Haven. No call-in requests can be made for currently scheduled late night GF weekday trips. These trips will continue to operate past Tweed Airport and must always be boarded at the Burr Street bus stop located outside the main entrance gate. On Sundays, if no call-in request is made, currently scheduled GF trips will continue to operate past Tweed Airport and can also be boarded at the Burr Street bus stop located outside the main entrance gate. Due to the new service from Tweed New Haven Regional Airport, most Monday through Saturday trips will be scheduled to leave Lighthouse Park and the intersection of Concord and Burr Streets 3 minutes earlier than the current schedule.
